Glyphs compatible but not exporting

Hi Forum,

I’ve been trying to export my file to a variable font with no success, apparently curves can’t be converted to .ttf ones. I’ll attach the file with two letters:

  • In K, there’s no error shown, but it’s still incompatible at export
  • In upDownArrow, the paths and corners are all compatible (as far as I can see), yet the glyph is showing as not compatible.

Test_Morula.glyphs (42.0 KB)

A solution to these two problems will help me a lot
Thanks in advance!

P.S. Is there a way to see these special inktraps in the preview zone?

If you check the “Bold Back Italic” master, there is a black line between the two arms. Move the bottom left point of the top arm down one unit and that black line will go away. It is always a good idea to have a small overlap when two shapes are touching.

Hi Georg, thanks for the fast reply, as usual!
The K is solved, thanks to you, but I’m still having troubles finding the problem in the arrows. My guess is that it has something to do with the corner components but I couldn’t find the issue yet.
Any idea?

I had found it and forgot to tell. In Melone master (I think it was the second or third, the bottom right inktrap is attached to a node and not to the intersection.
