GPOS error when exporting variable font

Hello,
I searched for similar issues in the forum but did not find any solutions.

I have an issue when I’m trying to export a variable font (ttf) that says :

Problem compiling “GPOS” table
Subtable Overflow in lookup: 2 type: PairAdjustment

I have 496 glyphs and 9087 kerning entries.
I’m surprised because it was working earlier and now it is failing.

I don’t know your design, but 9000 kerning pairs sound quite a lot. You might need to improve your spacing before you start kerning. And do you use groups/classes?

Hi,

I have a similar problem, my font contains several writing systems so I really do need to have lots of kerning. How can I sort out the problem? Mine says 3 Type: PairAdjustment.
I already compressed the kerning and I have everything in classes.
How can I extend the kerning, thank you very much,

Have you added the “Use Extension Kerning” parameter in the font settings?
