Hi there. for the moment I am using a grid of 1 however this causes some of my shapes to distort as I have small rounded features in many designs. If I set the grid to 0 will this effect the functionality of the typeface when its has been exported? is there a reason everything snaps to the grid other than for design purposes? many thanks
When exporting to OpenType (CFF based), you should be fine. But TrueType doest support fractional coordinates.
Have you tried a bigger UPM. Maybe a double or triple resolution is enough?
Having a grid helps with consistency.
Hi, thanks for your reply. When you say ‘double or triple resolution’ do you mean setting the UPM to 2000 / 3000 instead of 1000?
