In 3.5 hidden nodes cannot be selected anymore, which makes it impossible to apply components on them. It’s crucial for several projects I’m working on, can it be fixed?

What have you set in Font Info > others > font type?
And View > show nodes > extra nodes?
In Font Type I had Default (Is this new? Never had to specify it before), but changing to variable doesn’t make these nodes available to select.
Extra nodes are visible, just can’t select them.
Maybe there is something in the file. Could you send it to me?
No matter which file I open, I can’t select them either.
It works fine for me. And I traces the code and can’t see a place where it could break. Can you post a screenshot of the extra node? Maybe it is a different setup to what I’m testing?
Huh. I just checked again and it works. Maybe I wasn’t clicking precisely enough? But I was pretty sure I was. Oh well. It works (again?). I defer to Valerio.

I can’t reproduce it. So I can’t fix it.
Solved it. It was a hidden pref: (defaults write com.GeorgSeifert.Glyphs3 GSSelectMode 1) makes extra nodes unselectable, deleting the key restores it. Regular nodes stay selectable throughout, and it reproduces in an empty file with no plugins.
Still don’t know how that switched from 0 to 1 though.
That is not a hidden preference. You had the multi layer select tool activated (long press the select tool in the toolbar).
