Hide/Show Alignment zones but not Metrics

Apologies if this is a repeat, is there a way to hide/show alignment zones in glyphs edit view but still keep the metrics? [without changing the main preferences to set alignment zone color to 0% transparency]

Thank you for the help.

There is currently no way to do that. Why would you like to hide them?

Have a bunch of annotations on the glyphs and I am using “tops and bottoms” reporter to give a final check on my alignments, working on a complicated typeface with multiple alignment zones (small caps etc.) and the zones are on the way creating a visual distraction. However I would want to see the basic lines. Found a workaround through creating my own guides and hiding the rest. Not a big feature/deal, just wanted to make sure if I wasn’t missing anything. Thanks!
