I’m hinting a typeface with Latin and Devangari glyphs. The horizontal stems are slightly heavier in the Devangari—72 units for Latin and 78 for Devangari. Should I use 72 or 78 for my TTF horizontal stems? Or should I go with a middle value of 75?
They are quite close so I would suggest to use one value. But In the end you need to try both.
I would pick whatever is more important in this case, but I suppose a middle value should work fine.
