How I can create an italic font in a variable font

Hi Glyphs hivemind!

I’m working on variable Italics. When I added an Italic instance with a filter applied as a master, a situation occurred where it did not load properly. I would like to know if I need to create an italic font separately rather than the master with the filter applied.

It needs to be a separate master, and you need to have an italic axis. The Romans should be at ital=0, the Italics at ital=1.
