How to add icons to my font - Private Use Area

Hello all,
[I’m sure this could have been a sticky someshere but couldn’t find it. This is the only <a href=“http://www.glyphsapp.com/tutorials/unicode” target="_blank" rel=“nofollow”>relevant </a>info I could find.]

I’ve created a set of new glyphs with my new icons. They’re lined up across the bottom of the app currently unassigned to any unicode. How do I assign them unicode numbers?

This guy mentions >

“In the trial version, I could set the unicode value by typing “uniE123” in the name field, and then once it’s set, could rename the glyph into a more meaningful “iconClockThreeThirty” or something. Glyphs Mini shows the second title, but I can’t get at the unicode value.”

So do i just simply name the glyph with the unicode space name and that’s it?

Yes. You look for the unicode you like to use and add "uni". e.g. "uniE123". You put that in the name field.
