Importing background for glyph design

I’m trying to design some wingdings for game pieces, using silhouettes as the basis for the glyph. Using Glyphs mini, is it possible to put, say, select TIFF image from a file to use as the background of the glyph, then draw the glyph using the TIFF background as a guide?

Just drag the image into the edit view.

Thanks, that definitely works to get the image into the background and very easy. But I don’t see the new background image when I exit the background back to the main edit screen.

Don’t add it to the background layer. Just add it to the main layer.
