Importing from Illustrator alignment help

Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum, and I’m playing around with Glyphs for the first time and making my first font with it which I’ve already designed in Illustrator CS6.

I’m obsessing over how to get my workflow to accommodate importing letters into Glyphs while keeping the alignment true to the design — this mainly concerns overshoots and making sure they’re exactly where I want them to be.

I’ve read the blog post about how to achieve this (https://glyphsapp.com/tutorials/importing-from-illustrator) but can anyone provide a video tutorial outlining this at all? Would be greatly appreciated — dyslexia means I have better comprehension from visual step by step examples.

Many thanks,
R

Have you looked on YouTube and Viber? There are already videos showing import form Illustrator to Glyphs.

And the problem you want solved is described in detail on the blogpost you mention. Look for setting the origin, or use a rectangle for aligning.
