Hi

I just amended a symbol font created in Fontographer – I added some new symbols using Glyphs mini and saved as an .otf file

Everything is good apart from one issue:

When I open a legacy ID file which used the original Fontographer version on the font, the new Glyphs mini version isn’t recognised – ID says the font is missing

I can easily replace it with itself but I wondered if this problem will persist when I create another version (v3) or is there some other file setting I could change?

That has to do with internal names that are used to recognize the font. They are generated differently in fontographer and Glyphs. This will not change, the next time you export from Glyphs.
