Hey all - I draw a font, and I need to add more styles in the family (not interpolation needed) and I thought about Instances but seems I cannot set up instances without setting different Masters. How can I avoid making a new file for each style?

Just add instance? Just click the plus button in the instance page.
and I access with the “Is Active” checkbox to edit??
I dont understand how to edit each one.
Master = what you draw
Instance = is what Glyphs exports
