Hi, I have two masters in my font and two alternate layers with less nodes for bold and above instances interpolation, and I need an intermediate layer for the highest weight that should interpolates with alternate layers. it seems to be impossible this way, any solution? It would make process so easy if possible this way.
Can you post a sketch of the structure?
I have some Extrapolations in my project. Masters are 200 and 800. In this way intermediate layer should be at the end of extrapolate range that is 2500. Instances above 1200 should follow alternate layer. but I don’t know how to do that. I’ve tried some different combination of intermediate and alternate for that. Didn’t work.
that sounds very dangerous. Some extrapolation is OK, eg. 10% so you could go to 900. But 2500 is too much. And your 900 masters looks more like 400.
So you should make an instance at 2500 and then convert it to a master. You will need to clean it up quite a bit.
If you do this, you don’t need the brace layer any more.
But regardless to the above: You need to make the brace layer an alternate layer, too (with the same settings as the other two).
Thanks Georg!
