i might have suggested this in the past.
it might be usefull to be able to mute certain master layers for individual glyphs.
its kind of reversing the concept of the bracelayer.

Not sure what you mean. Can you give an example?
imagin a font project with 3 or more masters.
certain glyphs might not need as many masters.
so to prevent having to reinterpolate the intermediate masters (potentially repeatetly) )it would be nice to disable them / mute them all together.
in other words: instead of having a 2-master setup where u insert brace layers
you have a 3-master or more setup where u disable mute layers as needed.
i guess you could look at it like a “reinterpolate” checkbox that keeps that master interpolated …
instead of having to do it manually
