In the “N” file, you need to add ;exclude:_corner.in.N to your filters.
In he “H” file, the RoundCorner filter for the inner curve is confused by the almost flat connection that appears in where the first corner is connecting to the serif. I would suggest a different setup for the serif. Make one _corner that contains the full serif:
That works great for slanted stems:
if you add a left anchor to the serif:
Move the anchor up and down to control the position of the serif in the “A”.
Maybe it’s worth making Filter: “Decompose Corner, Cap, Segment components” for Export ?
Those are decomposed anyway. So no need for a filter.
The filter is necessary. Decomposing corner components before interpolation/export leads to different (more accurate) results than leaving them composed for Glyphs to handle them on export. This is why I have a “Decompose corner components” option in my export plugin.
I would expect applying them after interpolation would avoid some kinks and stuff.
ok
thank you
ok
thank you
This is your plugin. But it can’t be installed the usual way (Glyphs > Window > Plugin Menager).
Right?
Actually, my problem right now is not in the decompose of the components.
It’s in the correct Preview of the corner component (after export, the corner component is positioned correctly).
I understand that my problem cannot be a priority. But maybe you will pay attention to it and can correct the preview in future releases.
Anyway, thanks for the help and advice.
That’s a different filter. My export plugin with the “Decompose corner components” option is not publicly available.
You can, however, copy my filter code from the plugin you linked and simply replace most of it by the GSLayer.decomposeCorners() method.
@SCarewe
Ok
Thank you
I had a look at your file. And there is a but in the Preview. I’ll fix it.
@GeorgSeifert Thank you
