Issue with Roughen Filter

Apologies if this is all very straight forward.
I’m very new to glyphs.

I want to apply two filters to a font. 1. rounded corners, 2. Roughen
Rounded corners works fine to all characters. However, some of the characters are cut in half when using the roughen filter. Please see image

Any help would be appreciated.

I cannot reproduce this issue, Roughen works well for me.

Could you share the font file you are currently working on with me so I can have a closer look? Or just that one glyph (create a new Glyphs file, copy the ampersand from your font, and paste it in the newly create file). You can send me the file in a private message (click my profile picture → Message).

Why would you add so many points? The font will probably not work properly like this.

It may be due to the fact that Roughen filter attempts to reduce nodes. When you apply the filter on a simple rectangle with x/y movements 0,0, then no nodes are seemingly added, or added but cleaned up (which bothers me a bit). And that step may be breaking this ampersand somehow.

Could you send me that glyph for testing?
