Maintain the setting when opening a new tab sounds good, but it could also be confusing since most users stay in the standard kerning mode and so could get “trapped” in another mode without noticing.
I hear that… yeah, most of the time I am in standard kerning mode also… just have those consecutive days where it’s non-stop kerning. No worries. Thanks.
Just keep the edit tab open

(Just noting that if KernKraft is part of the workflow, it only opens into a new tab for each new glyph. Could be nice if it gave the option to write over the current tab with the lock already on. No big deal though.)
