Kerning not importing properly in RTL font

Hi all,
I’ve recently made a connected Hebrew font, which meant I needed to kern specific letters until there was no space between them…
I’ve fixed and imported the font after kerning multiple times, but whenever I try to write with it, it’s as if I’ve done nothing at all..

Attached here is an image of the kern, inside Glyphs -

…And whenever I write with it - be it Illustrator, Affinity, or essentially any other program - The kern is gone…

I suspect this might be related to the RTL view in Glyphs (I need to write backwards in Hebrew, unless I click on that little RTL button on the bottom… not sure what you’d call it; I’m new to type design  )

If anyone knows what might be causing this I’d love to hear.
Thank you

You need to do all the kerning in the RTL mode (that little button).

I might’ve expressed myself incorrectly - 100% of the kerning was already done in said RTL mode. Maybe that’s the issue? should I have kerned in LTR?

No. It needs to be done in RTL.
Can you click “Update” in Font Info > Features to get the correct “Languagesystems” (or make sure it is set to automatic).

This worked! Thanks a lot
