I want to make a (symbol-)font with six different styles: regular, bold, regular italic, bold italic and additionally “regular left italic” and “bold left italic”. What is the recommended way to name the “left italic” styles?

I dont think there is a recommendation for this. I would just call them “Left Italic” and “Bold Left Italic”.
