'ligatures' for numbers

Hi all,

I have been working on a project to create 100 unique interpretations of numbers 1–100. What would be the best way to approach creating these in Glyphs?

Not ligatures at all, but from a development point of view, I’d like to achieve a similar effect. When I type 12, I would like the unique ‘12’ to display as opposed to ‘1’ and ‘2’. I tried adding one_two as a glyph to see if this would work, but no luck.

That is done with feature code, most likely “sub” in Contextual Alternates. You can get specific information about how to do that, here:
