Link Metrics with Master, but not the kerning?

Hi, I would like to use the Link Metrics with Master custom parameter, but just for metrics. Not for kerning. Is this possible?

This is currently not possible. Why do you need it?

I want to create a master with a lowered x-height. The letters have very long spines, so only the length of the spines gets shorter. I want to guarantee that the text won’t reflow if some letters with lower x-height are selected.

I hope this makes sense.

But you still like different kerning?

Yes, because the capitals stay the same.

Ah wait. Good point. Different kerning doesn’t make sense with my reasoning. Thanks for pointing that out!
