Mac FontBook Warning Message Trying to Install a Font

Hi

I get a warning message trying to install a font on Mac FontBook.
Never had anything similar happening.

Do you have any idea what might be causing this? I followed the same routines as in other fonts (that didn’t cause this problem)

Does it give any details if you click the line with the yellow mark?

Font Book does not give details. Can you open the font in OTMaster or FontTableViewer and examine the name table?

What does your font info look like? Do you have a Font Name entry that uses spaces in its value?

Thank you for the quick reply. The name has no spaces.

Here is the FontTableViewer screenshot (sorry but some info I needed to blur, essentiality english letters upper and lower, spaces and periods)

You have the “Webfont Only” option activated.

That was it! :man_facepalming:
Thank you!!

Does the ‘Webfont Only’ option also affects OTF exports destinated to print?
In Glyphs2 it affected exports only for WOFF and WOFF2 files I think.
What about TTFs exprts for App installation use, will this feature prevent also from installtion?

As we merged the OTF and webfont export, it does apply to both, now. You would need to duplicate the instances to only have it applied to the webfont.

Good to know. I think it was more convenient to apply this parameter only to WOFF exports.
