I was wondering if it would be interesting to have a sidebar in the macro panel that could allow accessing scripts folder so the user could be navigating through them and editing them there (inside Glyphs).
What do you think?

Not sure. The capabilities of dedicated text editors like TextMate or SublimeText are so much better, that it is safe to say it is more efficient to work with them. And they already have such a sidebar.
So your workflow is having one of these text editors and test the script updating the scripts folder, then?
You don’t need to update the script folder. Changes to the files are picked up automatically. Only if you add or rename a scripts.
I save and just switch back to Glyphs and press Cmd-Opt-R.
