I am working on a font with three axis.
Weight, Width and a Contast value
I just added a third “contrast” axis where i defined three masters with a normal width and special contrast value
When i try to export a variable font a get this error.
I dont know how to solve this
What are the values you used for your masters?
First problem is that you don’t have a rectangular setup. If you have a contrast axis, you need at least masters for the poles of all other axes (so, in your case, Condensed Thin Contrast, Condensed Black Contrast, Wide Thin Contrast, Wide Black Contrast). What contrast masters do you currently have?
To get to a “rectangular” designspace, you need to set the variable font origin to be the “Regular” masters (add a “Variable Font Origin” parameter in the font settings and set it to “Regular”.
And add a forth letter to the Condensed axis tag. It needs to be four letters and glyphs doesn’t handle the shorter tag well.
