Thanks for the report. Fixed it.
Is the knife tool fixed in 3.4 (3400)?
No, it is broke in 3400. Will be fixed in 3401.
cheers – check measurement as well
The knife and measurement had the same problem.
Georg, can you also look at the following.
Previously I could insert a point at the extreme of a curve (Shift + Pen tool) and Glyphs will add at the extreme with handle bars all correct. It still does this but when I then delete a nearby point, the handle bars are kinked (node remains a curve point though). Previosuly the handlebars would remain OK.
Can you send me the outline before you removed the point?
I was trying to take a movie screen shot but Apple isn’t playing . . .
The pic above shows the state before removing the point.
(Shape is just a scribble to show.)
I can’t reproduce it.
I’ll try on the latest OS just in case it’s that.
Will email a file over
I’ve also noticed this, and it’s very annoying. The workaround is to select the path and move it back and forth by one unit, then removing the node won’t result in the offcurve node being crooked.
I’ll try and prepare an example file.
Here’s an example.
Reproduce:
Run “Add Extremes” on path
Delete the non-extreme node
Moving the path back and forth by one unit before removing the non-extreme node yields the correct result:
CrookedExtreme.glyphs (907 Bytes)
Then moving before removing got me on the right track. Fixed it. Thanks.
