Merge two Glyphs files + Glyphs file that contains 4 masters

I have a question regarding Glyphs App. I have two Glyphs files (Light and Bold) that include Latin characters, and I want to merge them with another Glyphs file that contains 4 masters (2 for Light and 2 for Bold) with Arabic characters only. Is there a simple way to add the two Glyphs files to the four-masters file?

First, make a backup copy of all three files, just in case.

Open the two Latin files. Open the Font Info for the Light font, go to the Masters tab, click the plus + button in the bottom left and choose Add Other Font. Here, select the Bold Latin font and confirm with OK.

Close the Bold Latin font and open the Arabic font. In the Light Latin font, go to the Font View and select all glyphs you want to import into the Arabic font (for example, ⌘A to select all glyphs). Then, switch to the Arabic font, open its Font View tab and paste the glyphs you have just copied with ⌘V. You can have more control over how glyphs are pasted by instead opening the Edit menu, holding down the Option key, and choosing Paste Special.

Thank you very much, Florian, for the detailed instructions. I’ll test this solution when I’m back at my desk.

Done, Thank you, Florian.
