more than one space glyph – a good idea?

Hi, I’m actually working on a typeface with 6 variations of each glyph (default + 5 style sheets) to receive a irregular and chaotic design via .calt feature.

To get that look & feel consistently over more than 1 word, I also integrated the space glyph into the .calt feature. It’s important to me that .calt is not interrupted by , because I want 2 words not start with the same style sheet.

The first issue I experienced is that only is breaking the line in glyphsapp edit view, not <space.ss01> etc. Can this issue be easily solved by adding “space.ss##” to edit view – and can I do that by myself?

Another thought is that there will be more issues that I haven’t realized yet, although export and testing in InDesign are working fine.

What do you think about that?

You don’t need different glyphs for that. Just add the same space to all the glyph classes involved.

Thanks, after all this seems to work fine.
