A cool new feature just landed in the Icon Grid plug-in 
You can now set the construction grid’s horizontal center from selected paths. Select the path or paths that should define the visual center, then right-click and choose Icon Grid → Center Horizontally on the selected path.
Only the grid moves—your outlines stay exactly where they are, and snapping and exports are unchanged. The horizontal position is captured per layer, so the grid stays fixed even if the artwork or advance width changes later.
To return to the normal grid position, choose Icon Grid → Reset Horizontal center.
This is especially useful for asymmetric icons or artwork with details extending beyond the main body, like the badge in the example.
