I believe this is fixed, and there have been numerous thready already. Please try Version 2.5.2 (1158). To update to the latest cutting edge version, enable both checkboxes in Glyphs > Preferences > Updates and click the Update button.
Still not working. I don’t have the latest vanilla installed (because the shortcut in preferences doesn’t work. and manually installation was making me unable of open glyphs). Do you think it could be due to an older version of vanilla? If so how do I install it?
The installation problem should also be fixed in the latest beta. Are you sure you updated properly?
Can you try in version 1158? If it is still happening, please send me the outline.

It has to do with the almost flat curve. It inserts an inflection point to make the offset more stable. But in this case it seem to get confused with the extra segment.
