Offset curve parameters set as instance filters on variable font

Hello,

Is it possible to use the offset curve parameters as instance filters on a variable font?
When I export my font it does not seem to work. Is this possible, or am I doing something wrong?

Variable fonts don’t support filters, yet.

…and certainly not in the instances. The point of variable fonts is that instances are always an interpolation.

I see. The reason that I’m asking is that I’m working on a monoline font, and I want to be able to make adjustments to the skeleton. Would be great if I could do that without using the Offset Curve filter in Glyphs first.
Is there any other way to do this?

No. You need the base outline for the variable font. You can automate the expansion for a large part, but you will need to work in the masters.

Is there for example a way to apply the filter on all layers of a glyph at once?
I’m working with a lot of layers, so it’s a lot of manual labour to apply the filter on each layer.

That could be done with a script.

You can select them all in Font view, apply the filter, then switch to the next master and repeat.
