Does it really crash? It might take a bit. The overall performance with fonts of this site is not good.
I just had a look at the importer again. I could greatly improve the speed. Still the Arial Unicode.ttf (23 MB, 50.000 glyphs) takes 45 s to import on my machine.
Mine still crashes (unresponsive for 10 minutes) on 10.7.3 - SSD/8 GB RAM
The updated version will be available in the next few days.
