Outlines in the background

Hi there,
Recently I noticed that all my outlines in the background are not saved with my font. When I close the file that all the outlines in the background simply disappear.
I’d be very grateful for any advice on how to get rid of this problem. Thanks

How did you save the file? As a .glyphs file or .ufo?

As a .glyph file I guess.

Can you send screenshots of the whole window that shows some backgrounds before you saved?
