I’m having overlap issues in my variable fonts. Is there something obvious I could be missing? I’ve checked overlaps and path directions, and my OTF and TTFs are outputting fine.
Can you show a screenshot of the outlines?
Looks like a white corner. You cannot have those in variable font. Select it and choose Reconnect Nodes from the context menu.
This is what my outlines are. There are 2 open corners on the K, but only the corner that overlaps the vertical stem is knocking out.
You cannot have outside overlaps in variable fonts, like the one on the left. Inside overlaps are OK in variable fonts, like the one to the right.
