Paths green but shown as ‘incompatible’

hi,

i have two glyphs that are shown as ‘incompatible masters’ although the paths are all green when using ‘show master compatibility’.
also these glyphs don’t get exported.

what might be the cause?

best,
marcus

A stray point somewhere?
Select All and look at the grey Info box. It should give you the node count of the respective master layer.

A component?
Maybe a component is pasted twice, perhaps on top of each other.

PS: You can post a screenshot if you use a service like droplr or CloudApp.

Check both masters. Select all nodes in both masters. You should see connections between all nodes. In one Master there are probably some nodes connection to the glyphs origin.

looks fine to me

Can you send me the file?

I have a suspicion that there is some path leftover way off somewhere in the glyph. Maybe you can see it when you zoom out. Maybe it’s just too far off. Here’s what you can do:

  1. Select all (cmd-A)
  2. Shift-drag a selection rectangle across your glyph to deselect it.
  3. If there is something on the outskirts, it is now selected. Hit Delete.
  4. Repeat for the other masters.
