Picture font from psd files. what do i do wrong?

hi, so i have this super dummy question, but i just can’t make any sense of it. i have a set of psd files that i want to turn into font in glyphs. i’ve tried to just copy the files and put them into glyphs, see pictures attached. but when i export the font, it’s just empty with nothing inside. can anybody well me what do i do wrong? thank you very very much and sorry for a (probably) silly question.

If you simply place pictures, that works as a background reference for bezier work (i.e. will be thrown away when exported as a font). If you want to display it like an Apple emoji font, you need to do a bit more work. Read this tutorial: Creating an Apple color font (sbix) | Glyphs
