Primitive Issue

I’m having problems with the primitive tool. Instead of been able to drag out a simple square, when you click on the page you a prompted with a dialogue box to input width and height data. This seems fine but when you put in the desired measurements no square is actually placed on the page. Instead a small red dot appears and then when you make a click it draws a random box. How do I get back to drawing a normal shape without this problematic dialogue box?

I just now saw this behavior for the first time myself.

Does it always happen, even if you restart Glyphs?

Thanks for the reply.

It continues to happen even after you restart Glyphs but If you open a new file the primitive tool behaves as normal. Is the problem with the individual file or the actual software?
