"Problem compiling GSUB table. Subtable Overflow." How do I fix this error?

1

It suddenly appeared after a reboot, and now I don’t know how to make font exportable again.

Can you send me the file?

You should still have access to the Github repository where the font is located.

I just uploaded the latest changes, which this error occurs with.

Were you able to gain access to the latest iteration of the font, or should I compress it as a zip file and share that with you, like I did previously?

Where you able to figure anything out?

Can you paste a link to the .glyphs file, or a zip of the .glyphs file?

Is it fine if I start a DM and share the link there? I could also grant you access to the Github, if I knew which address I should send the invite to.

Yes, send the file in a DM or per email.

I shared a link to a zipped version of the font to him in a DM, not long after I wrote my last reply here yesterday.

I haven’t heard anything back yet, but I understand that might take some time.

Is there anything else I should do?

Please send it to me, too.

Okay, I’ll do that to then.

I had a look a the file. The problem is the aalt feature. It uses a lot of space and causes the overflow. It seems that Glyphs can’t put it into an extension lookup (I need to fix this). It seems that Indesign doesnt even need the aalt feature any more, so you could remove it altogether. Or, move it all the way to the back. For some reason it uses less space there.

I had tried before to delete or making it not export, but that hadn’t made the error go away.

Making the aalt feature empty, but exportable did however fix it, something which I hadn’t tried before.
