Problem with naming convention of styles?

Hi,
I have created a layered type family with 10 layers.
Apparently for a small numbers of users only 9 of the fonts appear in the font menu. If only the missing font is installed it appears without problems.

For example “Regular” was not accessible on Windows 7 using MSWord2010 and Adobe Illustrator CS6;
and in another case “Bold” was not accessible on Windows 8.1 using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CC 2014.

Here is a list of the names of all 10 layers: 3D, Bold, Bottom, Bulb, Line, Neon, Outline, Regular, Shadow, Inline

Is this a problem with the naming convention of the different fonts?
Can anyone help me with this and point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

The names itself are fine. There are some other things that can go wrong. Did you use style linking? Maybe try to give each style a different weight class?

Thanks! I’ll try that.
I had all styles with the same weight class and no style linking at all.
