Hi,

I’m new to Glyphs and working on a script that is not currently supported by Unicode. It’s a vertical script and I’m wondering if dynamic spacing is possible in Glyphs (not sure if that’s what it is actually called). Basically, I’m looking for glyphs to span the widest width of a syllable cluster. I have a screenshot rendered in Illustrator with the left side as it is currently showing up in Glyphs. I’m trying to make it look more like the line on the right.

Is this possible in Glyphs? Or is this something that design software would handle?

Thanks!

I need more info about this. What did you type (the order of the glyph).

Not sure what you mean by dynamic spacing. In OpenType, you can so kerning and mark positioning to position glyphs. Without knowing more about the script, I can’t really tell what the best approach is.
