Question about how Glyphs handles original glyph names when importing OTF files

This is not a problem, just a simple curiosity I have.
When importing an OTF file, Glyphs applies its internal nice‑name scheme as expected, but I noticed that the original OTF glyph names often appear in the GlyphNote field.

Is this an intentional behavior?
In short:

Does Glyphs store the original OTF glyph names in GlyphNote when converting them into nice names during import?

Just wondering how the importer is designed to handle this. Thanks!

Yes. This is intended behavior.
