Is it possible to recover the sample strings in preferences? I deleted them accidentally before I could make a copy in a text file.
Do you mean you deleted your customised strings. They are stored in the Preferences. So you might be able to restore the preferences .plist file from TimeMachine?
Yes, that´s it. What you suggest is what I thought first. But I didn’t find the file. Is it in Library/Preferences? What’s its name?
