Remove overlap didn't remove the overlap

I tried this using InDesign on a Mac (overlap issue is still there at 27pt size but fine at 28pt)

After export (from InDesign), the issue only remained at 12pt size

The path direction is wrong. Right click and “Reverse all Contours”.
