Remove overlap doesn't seem to work while exporting the font file

When I export the font file with the (remove overlap) checked, and use it in indesign and then create a pdf, the overlaps show on the pdf.

Can you check the path direction of the glyphs that have the overlap?

Yes I did. The problem is with things like open corners. the preview is also not consistent throwout different programs. In preview the overlaps appear but in adobe acrobat it doesn’t. In indesign it depends on how much I zoom in.

Do you happen to use TrueType curves?
Can you show the outlines of the glyphs that have the problem?

Did you try to correct path directions (Paths → Correct Path Direction, Cmd-Shift-R)? It seems like the path of your glyph is oriented clockwise, not counter-clockwise (as it should be).

Bonus tip #1: you can also use ‘outer’ open corners (see the attached image).
Bonus tip #2: when using open corners, it is sometimes useful to see those ‘calculated’ nodes: Wiew → Show Nodes → Extra Nodes (again, see the attached image).

Thanks! the path direction did the trick.
