So i made an Hebrew version of a latin font, and copied certain paths to the Hebrew characters, for some reason remove overlaps doesn’t seem to work on those paths. I don’t get any bug message or anything and nothing really happens.

You are copying paths from a ttf (do you have the licence to do so?), meaning you are copying quadratic curves. Convert the paths to cubic with Path > Other > Convert to Cubic.
