Deleting all kerning in the kerning window doesn’t seem to delete all kerning – any ideas? Thanks
…also, is there a way to scroll through all the kerning pairs – a “next pair” keyboard shortcut? Thanks
Does it say 0 pairs in the bottom of the kerning window?
If yes, two things:
- you might have to wait a second for the UI to update. Move your mouse around or something after closing the kerning window.
- make sure you are in the correct writing direction. For Latin, that would be LTR (the button in the bottom left of your preview window).
Says there are pairs, but no pairs are showing.
I had this before on a monospaced font, where I deleted all the pairs in the window, but found when going through the font there were still pairs.
Then you probably have a search parameter defined. Click on the magnifying glass and see whether you have checked any constraints like “is a class”.
Aha - that is it. It is confusing as it is not obvious that any search criteria have been entered (I didn’t enter any).
You (or someone) must have set some at some point. But yes, it’s not visible from the UI that some have been set. I had the same short moment of confusion the other day. Now you know what to look for, at least.
Thanks, Sebastian.
