Right now I cmd-X/cmd-V the path that is supposed to be the last one, e.g. the counter of the o. Is there a better way to reorder paths inside a glyph layer?

For now there is only this method of manually reorder path.
The “Correct Path Directions” command also reorders the paths. So if you need to make the path order compatible for MM fonts, use the command on all layers.
