Replace Glyphs on export per Instance

I want to export a blackletter font in two versions where the old-style glyph designs are in one instance and modern alternatives in the other.

Can anyone give me an example, how “Remove Glyphs” and “Rename Glyphs” are supposed to be used for this? I can’t figure it out.

I tried something like:
Remove Glyphs: A, B, C
Rename Glyphs: A.alt=A, B.alt=B, C.alt=C

You don’t need to use [Remove]. just try with [Rename Glyphs] function, Glyphs will automatically delete the replaced glyph.
