Replacing a glyph at the end of a line

Hello,
I’m trying to replace the first and last glyph of a line for specific glyphs. The main idea is to create a frame for the content. I found that there is the begginingOfLine and EndOfLine commands but I’m not succeeding in school.

anybody?

Are your trying it by applying a script to the text or by OpenType feature code?

Hi, Georg.

I’m trying to apply as a OpenType Feature code. The main ideia is a calligraphy font with vertical and horizontal rules. The first and the last characters should be visual markers.

There are no commands like begginingOfLine in OpenType. There is a tutorial on how to implement it: https://www.glyphsapp.com/tutorials/features-part-4-positional-alternates
