Replacing primary glyph with the alternative

Hi everyone,

I know I did this before but for some reason I’m drawing a blank now. What is the simplest way to make my c.ss01 become the primary c (and vice-versa), so that the composites switch also?

  1. Right click on c and choose Show All Glyphs Containing…
  2. Select all the glyphs and choose Copy Names > One per line
  3. Edit the replacements per line to the structure c=c.ss01, best in a multiline text editor where you can do all lines at the same time.
  4. Paste the text in the parameter.

Can you clarify step 4 please?
Oh, perhaps I didn’t explain well. I don’t want to have this in a custom parameter, I want this as a permanent change in the Glyphs file.

Then use the Rename Glyphs script from the mekkablue scripts. Uses the same syntax as the parameter.

Or rename the base glyphs and run “Glyph > Create composites”.
