I’m in the process of mastering a font and would like to reuse as many shapes as possible. For example I’m reusing the period for the colon, semi colon, exclam, question, periodcentered and divide. Sometimes the period component is scaled or rotated.
Same goes for the comma which is reused in semi colon and all quotes glyphs.
Besides reusing basic glyphs I’m also reusing a _part.bowl for a, b, d, p, q and thorn.
Would you recommend this or should I decompose to be sure regarding hinting or any other possible problems?
